History

1952
On the 26th of September 1952, Willi and Christiane illbruck founded a small business for the production of steel wool dies in Leverkusen-Opladen. At first, the 2-man business produced strip steel cuts and later plastic parts like platters, index tabs, lottery stencils etc.

1980
Willi illbruck OH is turned into an incorporated firm named illbruck GmbH.

1983
The second production facility is set up in the Bavarian town of Bodenwöhr. 580 people are now employed by the illbruck group, of which 220 people work outside of Germany.

New construction of the production facility in Klaus/Vorarlberg, Austria.

1985
Extension of the production plant Illzach, France by 5'000 m2. illbruck Japan, a joint venture for building products is established.

1989
The new production facility in Wolfsburg takes up production of motor encapsulations. On due time with the 15-year company anniversary of illbruck Austria, the planned extension of production in Klaus is finished.

In this year, 1'100 people are employed with the illbruck group worldwide. In Rochester, NY/USA, a new production facility is set up.

In Courgenay, Switzerland, the development department, as well as a production facility for ATS products (Advanced Technology Systems), are opened.

1990
An extra office aimed at extending the existing Car/Industrial Products divisions in Japan and the Far East.

1994
Extension of the location Bodenwöhr by 760 m2.

Establishment of a holding company in Singapore for the entire Asian market and foundation of a Joint Venture in Australia. Participation in Cocon Arkel B.V., Netherlands, to extend our sealing product range for the construction industry.

2004
illbruck Building Systems GmbH becomes illbruck GmbH and serves as the strategic holding company for illbruck Akustik, illbruck Sanitärtechnik, illbruck Abdichtungssysteme and illbruck Inc., Minneapolis.

Michael illbruck establishes his own company illbruck elements GmbH in Unterföhring / Munich, Germany. The activities include illbruck insulation and illbruck filtration in Courgenay, Switzerland, Nieuwburg in Krimpen, NL (the leading marine installation company in the Netherlands) and illbruck GmbH in Unterföhring.

Michael illbruck continues to hold a 50% stake in illbruck GmbH, Leverkusen and remains a member of the Supervisory Board of illbruck GmbH. Michael illbrucks entrepreneurial future is illbruck elements GmbH.

End of April, illbruck Production SA has acquired the Dutch company of Nieuwburg, market leader in the application of thermal, acoustic and fire-resistant insulations for the shipbuilding and yachting industry.

2005
Reorganisation of the illbruck GmbH structure: The holding illbruck elements GmbH is created and includes the subsidiaries illbruck Production SA in Switzerland, illbruck Akustiksysteme under the name illbruck acoustic in Germany, illbruck inc and illbruck foamtec in the USA as well as the dutch company Nieuwburg.

2007
Since 31 May 2007, illbruck elements GmbH has changed its name to pinta elements GmbH. Therefore the symbol and venerable guiding theme of the illbruck corporate culture will become the umbrella brand of the company holding. The new component “pinta” element in the name and additional company color of blue will also be adopted by the worldwide subsidiaries of the pinta elements holding company.

Parallel to the renaming process the holding pinta elements GmbH acquired the French company ENAC, a well-known provider of noise protection products headquartered in Aubergenville near Paris. The company, which was founded with its own research and adjoining technology centre, is specialized in traffic, mechanical engineering and industrial soundproofing sectors.
